WELCOME
This site has the intention of providing some information
about different projects that I have been fully involved during the more than twenty years of working as an
electrical engineer in the United States.
While the projects presented here are neither the largest nor
the most complex that I have done, they are some of the ones
that I have been fully in charge of and I believe they show my
initiative and creativity.
I hope that those that visit will be able to have a better
understanding of my qualifications and the experience that I can bring to their
organization.
Soon after obtaining my Electrical
Engineering degree from The University of Las Villas in Cuba, I
came to the US where an evaluation of my degree by The Word
Education Services in NY re-evaluated my courses to be
equivalent to 157 U.S. college credits which equal to a masters
degree in Electrical Engineering.
Previous to joining CPS. Inc. as an Electrical Engineer in 1986,
as shown in my resume, I held technical positions at other
companies. First at Circle Packaging Machinery Inc, a
manufacturer of different types of packaging machinery for dry,
solid, and liquids of various style. I built, troubleshooted and
serviced their products. Then I went to the Okonite Company, a
well known cable manufacturer, where I repaired and serviced
their plant equipment for several years. Both of those jobs gave
me unique first hand field experience, and a solid foundation
that had helped me understand the challenge often found in the
field, which needs to be taken into consideration when designing
new equipment. These positions have given me a strong basis for
my career which then I continued to build with my time as an
engineer in my more recent jobs.
